One inside lane of Military Trail, at the I-95 overpass, will undergo a continuous full closure in each direction, Monday, July 26, through Sunday, August 1, for bridge demolition and bridge construction.

The center lanes of Military Trail at the I-95 overpass will be closed in each direction, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, July 26, through Friday, July 30, and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, July 31, for bridge demolition and bridge construction.

One inside lane of PGA Boulevard underneath I-95 will be closed in each direction, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, July 26, through Saturday, July 31 for bridge expansion operations.

Motorists should be aware of a stop sign at the northbound I-95 exit ramp onto westbound PGA Boulevard. This lane no longer merges. Advance warning signs are in place approaching the exit ramp and on the ramp to alert motorists.

PROJECT PROGRESS

Construction continues on schedule at the I-95 overpasses at PGA Boulevard and Military Trail. Two new northbound and southbound lanes are being added to each bridge. Both overpasses are part of the I-95 Exit 79 interchange.

At the PGA Boulevard interchange and I-95, construction crews are working on, around and underneath the overpass.

On the bridge, crews continue to demolish the old outside barrier walls and shoulders to widen the overpass and construct new barrier walls. Sand is being trucked in and placed along the northbound approach to the overpass to support the construction. Motorists should be aware of the increased truck traffic and exercise caution.

Underneath the PGA overpass, crews will close the center lanes, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, July 26, through Saturday, July 31, for work on bridge columns. New columns will support the new travel lanes.

At the Military Trail overpass, bridge piles are being driven to support the new southbound lanes. All pile-driving operations are during daytime hours. Work on the northbound lanes, which began in last spring, continues.

Northbound and southbound inside lanes under the Military Trail overpass will be closed, 24-hours-a day, Monday, July 26, through Sunday, August 1, for median barrier demolition, bridge demolition and bridge foundation construction. The center lanes in each direction underneath the overpass will be closed, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, July 26, through Friday, July 30, and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, July 31.

The contractor continues work on the southbound exit ramp from I-95 to Military Trail. Construction crews are working on both sides of the ramp. Motorists are urged to exercise caution in this and all work zones.

From the Military Trail overpass to just south of Donald Ross Road, crews continue to work on the shoulders, place sod and install lighting.
