Q: What is the I-95 Expansion Project?
A: The I-95 Expansion Project is the last of several projects designed to ease traffic flow and improve safety along I-95 in Palm Beach County. This project has three separate segments that include I-95 from just south of PGA Boulevard to Donald Ross Road, I-95 from Donald Ross Road to SR 706 / Indiantown Road and also Indiantown Road from the Florida's Turnpike to Chasewood Plaza.

Q: What are the improvements being made on this project?
A: The projects on I-95 from south of PGA Boulevard to south of Donald Ross Road and south of Donald Ross Road to SR 706/ Indiantown Road consist of widening I-95 to include one new High Occupancy Vehicle Lane (HOV) in each direction as well as milling and resurfacing existing travel lanes, drainage improvements, lighting, signage and landscaping. Improvements on SR 706/ Indiantown Road include milling and resurfacing, shoulder reconstruction, signalization improvements, irrigation installation, landscaping and median enhancement.

Q: How long are these projects anticipated to last?
A: Work will begin this summer and last approximately four years.

Q: Will there be lane closures on this project?
A: In order to perform this work safely, it will be necessary to close travel lanes at various times and locations. Ramps to and from I-95 will also be closed at various times. Please note, however, that there will be at least one lane open along I-95 at all times. Electronic message boards will notify motorists of upcoming traffic shifts and lane closures. Weekly lane closure updates will be posted on the project Web site at www.pbfdot.com/95Expansion/closures.html

Q: Will access to my business or home be blocked at any time?
A: Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained at all times. Should it become necessary to close an individual driveway to perform project-related work, the project team will coordinate with property owners in advance.
