U.S. 1 / S.R. 5 / Parker Bridge Rehabilitation Project
This 0.21-mile bridge rehabilitation project began November 30, 2009, in the Village of North Palm Beach. This project includes: replacing the existing bridge grating and the tender house; replacing structural steel and machinery that raise and lower the bridge spans; and widening to accommodate new sidewalks, decorative lighting and decorative railing. Work is being performed by PCL Civil Constructors, Inc. and will be completed in late 2010.

Project Description:
PGA Boulevard / S.R. 786 from Beeline Hwy to just west of Ryder Cup Boulevard
Construction on this 2.54-mile project began January 5, 2010, in the City of Palm Beach Gardens. The improvements under this contract consist of resurfacing PGA Boulevard from Beeline Highway / S.R 710 to west of Ryder Cup Boulevard. Minor earthwork, bridge repair, signage, pavement markings and landscaping are also included. The estimated construction cost is $1.2 million. Work is being performed by Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. and was completed on June 2, 2010.

Project Description:
S.R. A1A Little Blue Heron Bridge Replacement Project
This 0.19-mile bridge replacement project in the City of Riviera Beach began construction on Monday, December 14, 2009 and will last approximately 18 months. This project includes removing the existing low-level, fixed bridge and replacing it with a new four-lane fixed bridge in the same location. This tidal relief bridge spans the Lake Worth Lagoon connecting A1A from Phil Foster Park to Singer Island. The work will be performed by The Murphy Construction Company in conjunction with the Little Lake Worth Bridge Replacement Project. The combined cost for these two projects is estimated at $10.1 million.

Project Description:
A1A Little Lake Worth Bridge Replacement Project
This 0.8-mile bridge replacement project includes removing the existing low-level fixed bridge with a new two-lane fixed bridge in the same location. The new bridge will provide four additional feet of clearance (for a total of 12 feet) to meet current FDOT standards and minimize future damage to the bridge deck caused by salt water. The work will be performed by The Murphy Construction Company in conjunction with the Little Blue Heron Bridge Replacement Project, which began construction in December 2009. The combined cost for these two projects is estimated at $10.1 million. A revised construction start date for this project will be determined based on permitting. Construction will last approximately 12 months.

Project Description:
Indiantown Road (S.R. 706) from Chasewood Plaza to Old Dixie Highway
Construction on this 2.2 mile project will begin Monday, June 21, 2010. Work consists of repaving and restriping the road; replacing some driveways and sidewalks; minor signalization, and landscaping.
